DocSTAR Series 3 Products

DocSTAR is proud to release the Series 3 Product Line, our "Next Generation" of document imaging products. This new Series 3 Line includes the following four products, each with hardware and operating systems configured to support varying numbers of simultaneous users, scanstations, and monthly page volumes:

The cornerstone of this new product line is our Version 3.0 Software which retains the prior version's intuitive "look and feel" and all around ease-of-use while offering an extensive array of enhancements. These include:
 

NETWORK SECURITY	Hidden shares are secure from curious explorers. Only an authorized user with DocSTAR client software can access documents.
AUDIT TRAIL	Every time a document is created, accessed, modified, deleted, or output (via printer, email or fax), the date, time, and user is recorded in an audit trail.
EMAIL SUPPORT	Email support through Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Outlook Express and Lotus Notes is built in along with printer and fax output.
FOLDER-BASED FILING	Folder system is enhanced and expanded to support a "place-in-folder" filing strategy. Limits have been eliminated. Folders are themselves searchable. Templates have been enhanced to support convenient and consistant folder-based filing, if desired.
CUSTOM FIELDS	Custom fields (egs. Invoice Number, Social Security Number) may be defined for any document, supporting a structured filing approach that may match that of other information systems.
IMPROVED ANNOTATIONS	Many improvements including a true "sticky note", which is visible and printable on the face of a document.
IMPROVED TEMPLATES	Templates now support mulitple zones for OCR, user prompts, or quality checks. Every prompt can be named, and can be used to create title, keywords, or custom field data. Users can be prompted to place a document into a proper folder. Scanner settings are now saved within each template; only one selection is needed to scan and file a document properly.
SCANSTATIONS	One or two ScanStations (in addition to host) supported by mid-range models.
A PLATFORM TO GROW ON	DocSTAR 3.0 is designed for expansion. New upgrades will come out regularly to better meet customer requirements.
