Field Technician Position in West Detroit Suburbs.

Required Skills and Experience:
* Windows 98/ME/2000/XP Installation & Support
Install/test/troubleshoot applications
Image desktops and laptop systems
Remove spyware and viruses
* Networking skills
Cabling of data networks
Install and configure switches and routers.
* Working knowledge of the internet, email, hosting, domains, and DNS.
* Documentation of problems and instructions for users.
* Assist and recommend software/hardware to meet client or business needs as requested. Lead or participate in the implementation of approved software/hardware.
* Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.
* Organization, prioritization, and time management skills
* Ability to work with little supervision
* Timely and accurate processing of paperwork
* Good written and oral communications skills and the ability to deal effectively with people.
* Customer Service skills, must be patient, have a good sense of humor, maintaining a positive attitude and always behave in a professional manner.
* Guides customer by researching, developing, documenting, and updating procedures and methods.
* Identify and recommend improvements to increase productivity. Lead or participate in the implementation of improvements.
* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications; maintaining personal networks.
* Occasional lifting of equipment may be required up to 50 pounds
* May be required to work more hours than normal during a regular work week depending on workload and deadline requirements.

Desired Skills and Experience:
* Windows Server 2000/2003 installation, troubleshooting and maintenance.
* Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook)
* Document Imaging and Electronic Document management systems.
* Telecommunications systems
* 3Com NBX systems
* Cabling of voice, and video networks
* Video security DVR systems and camera networks
* Firewall and VPN installation and configuration.
* Electronics Troubleshooting
